[Higher Education Sprout Project] 2025 (Academic Year 114) Project Application – Certification Incentive (Deadline: From now until 9/12)
Dear Esteemed Faculty,
The Higher Education Sprout Project is now open for applications to the Certification Incentive Program for Academic Year 114. We kindly ask faculty members who intend to apply for certification incentives on behalf of students to carefully review the following program details and complete the application form via the eform system. Should you have any questions regarding the application process or the content of the program, please do not hesitate to contact the Higher Education Sprout Project – Chiu Ming (Extension 2543).
[Program Description]:
Eligibility for Application: This form is to be filled out only by faculty members and staff. If students wish to apply, they must notify a faculty member or staff member to submit the application on their behalf.
Target Beneficiaries: This program is available exclusively to regular students of Ming Chuan University (with a maximum subsidy of 80%). Students with economically disadvantaged status are eligible to receive the full subsidy. Eligibility Requirements: Any student of Ming Chuan University who obtains a professional certification during their period of enrollment and maintains their student status at the time of application (excluding students from mainland China, The Overseas Youth Vocational Training School (OYVTS), doctoral students, and in-service classes) is eligible to apply under this program.
Eligible Certifications: The program covers certifications obtained through government-sponsored examinations, specialized vocational and technical exams, national skill certification exams, or professional qualifications issued by recognized professional organizations (e.g., associations, guilds, or corporations). The certification must be recognized by the Ministry of Education and included in the “University/College Database” for consideration. Additionally, it must be approved by the relevant academic department as eligible for this incentive.
Incentive Limitations: An individual applicant may apply for the incentive for the same certification only once. If the same certification has already been subsidized by the university, the applicant is not eligible to apply again.
Incentive Amount: The incentive amount is generally 80% of the examination fee for professional certifications, based on levels 1 to 4 of the course map. The actual subsidy amount, number of cases subsidized, and the available funding may be adjusted according to the total budget for the year and the overall progress of the program.
Recognition Period: The recognition period for this incentive program is from 2025/1/1 to 2025/9/12. Applications outside of this period will not be accepted.
Required Application Materials: Applicants are required to submit a combined PDF file that includes a certification list and scanned copies of the certification documents for review.
Application Deadline: The application period is open from now until 2025/9/12, at 12:00 noon.
Reimbursement Deadline: The reimbursement process must be completed by 2025/10/31.
Final Report: Upon completion of the reimbursement, a final report (in electronic form) must be uploaded to the Higher Education Sprout Project section on Moodle within 7 days. Additionally, the certification materials must be uploaded to the university’s database. The final report must include the certification list and scanned copies of the certifications.
