簡介:

  1. 透過歧視和微侵犯的研究,本次講座將指導教職員工識別校園中看似無害但仍可能給學生造成壓力和傷害的言語和互動,同時增強對不同種族經驗的敏感度和理解。
  2. 本次講座將從原住民的角度和研究經驗出發,探討歷史創傷如何影響學生的認同、心理健康和校園適應,幫助教職員更了解學生在學習和日常生活中的實際需求。
  3. 本次講座將融合原住民社會工作、性別多元性和交叉性視角,探討如何在教學、諮商和校園互動中實踐尊重和包容,以創造更友善的學習環境。
  4. 透過講座討論和案例分享,參與者將重新審視教學環境中的互動模式和潛在偏見,進一步促進種族平等、多元化、包容性和友善的校園文化。

 

※本活動採組線上同步直播方式進行,方便師長使用個人電腦、手機、平板參與交流活動。若師長有收播意願,請於115年5月18日(週一)前報名,謝謝!

【Workshop Announcement】Online Synchronous Faculty Development Seminar: Discrimination and Microaggressions—The Possibility of Ethnic Equality and Mutual Well-being on Campus

 

Dear Faculty Members,

To enhance cultural sensitivity and foster an inclusive environment on campus, the Teaching and Learning Resources Center and the Indigenous Student Resource Center (ISRC) are co-hosting an online faculty development seminar.

We are honored to invite Associate Professor Ciwang Teyra from the Department of Social Work at National Taiwan University to share her expertise.

Seminar Highlights

1. Understanding Microaggressions: Based on recent research, this session will help faculty identify seemingly harmless but potentially harmful verbal and non-verbal interactions on campus, increasing sensitivity toward different ethnic situations.

2. Indigenous Perspectives: Exploring how historical trauma impacts Indigenous students' identity, mental health, and campus adaptation, helping staff understand their practical needs in learning and daily life.

3. Intersectional Practice: Integrating perspectives from Indigenous social work, gender diversity, and intersectionality to practice respect and inclusion in teaching and counseling.

4. Promoting Campus Equality: Through case studies and discussions, we aim to re-examine interaction patterns and potential biases in the classroom to further promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
