Sometimes we feel the need to put on an armor to protect our feelings or hide our true selves from others because of past hurts we’ve experienced. While we might find it a messy idea to embrace our “vulnerability” at times, which often involves risk-taking, uncertainty, and possibly self-disclosure of our emotions and thoughts, we might also battle with truly accepting who we are, how we feel, and where to belong.

According to Dr. Brené Brown, the US author and professor well-known for her research on vulnerability, shame, and leadership, “When you work so hard to keep the peace on the outside, you wage a war internally.” As authentic self-expression becomes a challenge, resentment and jealousy might start to build up.

Have you ever asked yourself: What can I do to find peace with myself while trying to juggle various identities and duties? How I can put down my armor so that I can continue to grow into my potential?

Come to this talk to learn about how acceptance and self-compassion may guide you to find true belonging and the initial steps that you can take to start feeling free, truly accepted, and fulfilled.
